Fruit of the memorandum of understanding with the Healthcare Travel Management of India represented by its Director Dr Alekn Sharma and Pr Noël Emmanuel Essomba, Director of the Laquintinie Hospital in Douala.
This agreement will enable Laquintinie Hospital to acquire a cardiac catheterization room for coronary angiography and rhythmology (treatment of arteries and heart rhythm disorders) and a linear accelerator for the treatment of cancers. This, in order to have perfect control of these cutting-edge devices, a team, made up of cardiologists, oncologists and pharmacists, among others, will fly to India in the coming days. During their stay, these specialists will be trained in the use of these devices. The Memorandum of Understanding will also allow Laquintinie Hospital to refine the use of telemedicine.
In the end, the objective of the Memorandum of Understanding thus signed is to allow long-term collaboration between the two hospital formations.

It will also allow the training and retraining of medical and paramedical personnel, as well as a transfer of skills. This agreement will also facilitate, if necessary, medical evacuations at reduced costs, when the need arises. Health campaigns will be organized by the two hospitals with the presence of Indian practitioners at the Laquintinie hospital in order to strengthen the diagnosis and immediate management of certain pathologies.
By equipping itself with a cardiac catheterization room and a linear accelerator, the “Laquintinie bb” hospital has become one of the main treatment centers for cardiac pathologies and cancers in sub-Saharan Africa.
